Service description

maintool provides a free, browser-based tool to generate static QR codes (including URL, WiFi, WhatsApp, and vCard payloads) and download them as image or PDF files. Generation is performed on your device. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Eligibility and accounts

You do not need an account to use maintool. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with laws that apply to you, including where you live and where you distribute QR codes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use maintool to encode or distribute content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive
• Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• Distributes malware, phishing links, or social-engineering scams
• Facilitates unauthorized access to networks or systems
• Violates applicable advertising, consumer, or telecom regulations

We may refuse or limit access if we reasonably believe these terms are being abused, subject to technical and legal constraints of a client-side tool.

Intellectual property

The maintool name, branding, site design, and original written content are owned by maintool or its licensors. QR codes you generate from your own content are yours to use, subject to third-party rights in that content (for example, trademarks in a logo you upload).

Advertising

The site may display third-party advertisements (including Google AdSense). Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. We strive to follow Google Publisher Policies and Better Ads Standards: ads must not obscure content or navigation, and pages must contain substantial publisher content relative to ads. We are not responsible for advertiser websites or offers.

Age and audience

The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the service or submit personal information through contact channels.

Disclaimer of warranties

We do not warrant that QR codes will scan successfully on every device, that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that generated codes are suitable for any particular commercial purpose. Always test codes before large print runs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, maintool and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the service or QR codes you create — including scanning errors, misprinted materials, or third-party actions.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless maintool from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or content you encode in QR codes, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or modify the service at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We may suspend or discontinue the service without liability where required for maintenance, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
